Brand Concepts: Brand Funding

Time to Step Up to the Plate?

Many of our clients are startups or early stage companies with brands already in-market and showing good potential. Distribution is generally limited, but growing. There's excellent consumer and trade acceptance but cash flow is currently too low to fund more aggressive growth. The question we're often asked by business owners is how do I invest money to get to the next level without too much risk or giving away too much of my business?

Angels in the Outfield

Of the many options you have to fund your business, you may consider a private placement stock offering to angel investors. "Angels", not to be confused with venture capital firms, are high net worth individuals who generally invest anywhere from $10K-$250K. Angels come from all walks of life, e.g., doctors, successful retirees, mentors, and even fellow entrepreneurs. From our experience, angels are less focused on return-on-investment and more patient than banks or venture firms. Importantly, they can help go to bat for you by providing valuable expertise, contacts and introductions to other investors. Learn more about angel investors.

Private Placement
Stock Offering

A private placement stock offering, a "Regulation D" of the Securities Act of 1933, has many advantages, but mainly because it is exempt from securities registration and relatively simple and affordable to implement.
